The paper trail..

232 posts in this topic

So I am reading the story of the Blue Label resub as PLOD. And aside from the fact that I (personally) have my doubts that CGC missed amateur resto the first go-round, but the fact the label and pedigree designation were not sent in when re-subbed. I find it disturbing that anyone would willingly choose to leave out the pedigree designation? The fact that the book at one time was part of a special collection, and probably bought and sold at premiums. Is now a common label book with amateur resto is disheartening. For the sake of a few bucks you choose to lose the paper trail (designation) in hopes of monetary gain and not having anyone know the book has been "upgraded"? Very sad.. It makes me miss guys like Mitch and Brad who would have had the whole thing figured out in an hour...

Its just sad. Why treat a special book like an average one? Its like if Julia Roberts were treated like her trashy room mate in Pretty Woman..

I'm shocked by the whole thing.

You've actually watched Pretty Woman hm

I would go with another analogy considering they were, you know...hookers. :gossip:

What - are you saying that comic books are more important than hookers?

In some way the PLOD was poetic justice because the label wasn't sent with the comic. I'm not sure what to think...

How could CGC miss the resto before? Since it seems the comic was cracked out of the case and sent in raw...who knows what happened to it before it was sent to CGC.

The whole thing seems odd...

CGC are people too, they're not perfect. this happened to me with a CGC 9.2 that was resubbed, and came back PLOD CGC 9.6. it all worked out in the end. :whee:
