Round 18 Commentary

 

For two seasons he has reigned Supreme. For 17 Rounds he has been "Top of the Heap, King of the Hill." Valiantly, he tried to maintain his position against all challengers. Round after round he repelled them, sometimes with ease, sometimes through sheer luck. But it would not -- IT COULD NOT -- last. And so finally on ROUND 18, toro fell.

Congrats to mrlatko who emerges triumphant for ROUND 18 in sole possession of First Place!

 

The TITANIC THREE without a NEGATIVE ROUND is now the TORTUROUS TWO as AJD joins the rest of the rabble notching his first -1 and falling 7 spots down the charts. Only trmoore54 and wasonff remain pristine without a negative round! Can they both last another six rounds?

 

NOTABLE: trmoore54's run of six straight bullseyes is surely a magnificent feat. But wait! *bronze age fan* likewise has six. Who can get number seven in a row? One possible contestant: Thomas Nielsen, currently on FOUR STRAIGHT BULLSEYES!!!

 

Only 71% of the Round 18 contestants got within +/- 1 grade and only 32% hit the bullseye.

 

The Mathematically Eliminated Line is now at 24! If you are under it, you are playing for Second Place!
