Shady Ebay sellers question and my first post

65 posts in this topic

Hello all,

Although this is my first post I have met quite a few of you at shows etc and tried to pick a name that would ring true so you might remember me. Anyways, I am curious if there is a post here that lists shady dealers (mostly for ebay purchases)? I, by fluke, bid on some stuff by a dealer named robojo, and then doing a google search for something completely different (how to detect trimming and color touch), come across his name as the shadiest of the shady. I try to limit my stuff on ebay to cgc graded if its high grade unless theres a full return policy, but after reading that post, it got me worried.

- Best regards,

Brian Parnes

Has this robojo33 ripped alot of people off? ???

Reason I ask is that I just checked his eBay feedback:

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=robojo33&ftab=AllFeedback

Where are all the negatives comments in his feedback history? I don't see any in the past 12 months. What am I missing? Anyone?

He avoids negs by bending over backwards to fix "problems", so people think he has wonderful customer service.

"Fixing problems" = refunds? :makepoint:

Also, I see he's offering quite a few hight grade CGC graded books, so he won't get complaints on those (I would think).

Use the search function. Look up 'robojo33', 'Danny Dupcak','Richard Koos' . Suffice it to say he's a little more refined than simply taking your money and not sending a book.

Quite a bit more. Dupcak is a clever thief.

Robo quickly refunds $$ when restoration is discovered in exchange for positive feedback. His return policy is stellar.

Here is a site devoted to comic-keys, a previous incarnation of robojo.

I did, thanks! (thumbs u

The conclusion I garnered from my analysis is .......

He sells restored books as unrestored and he defrauds people out of thier money!

How is it he's still allowed to be on eBay? ???

ebay is his pimp

And yet we all can ask ourselves as to WHY?????!!!!! :frustrated: If the Law of Contracts truly applied, how could his totally fraudulent sales be allowed? If ebay allows this sort of crud to continue, well the, ebay should be avoided at all costs don't you think? ZERO TRUST
