GL76: Never seen this before

This book sold recently on MyComicShop for 345.00.

 

It was graded as a 6.0 but my question is... what happened?

 

Is this simply sun bleached (faded) or is it a printing defect?

i am going with uv fading over sunlight as it was in a comic shop on a wall for a looong time! and sunlight would have bleached out some of the white paper areas making them stronger or "whiter"

cover the faded side and throw it back in the sun to get it a look of consistancey
