Ahh...Reynoldjay...

These are probably books he kept in his walk-in freezer for 30 years.

...except that I bought some of those and they were FAR from 9.9s. lol

Wow, 282 PGX graded 9.9 books. I remember when Nadia scored a perfect 10.0 in the Olympics. They said it couldn't be done, yet she did it. It was an elusive number, a perfect score! Rarely did we see a 9.9, they just didn't give them out. Now we have not one but 282 9.9 books? Amazing... Makes a 9.8 seem like a restored purple label turd.

Notice how long they have been in his store, too.

This comic was in his store when I first started buying comics on eBay (3/8/01). Price is still $5000.05. ;)

Anyone wanna guess his first name?

Jay?

Reynold Jay Anschuetz

I purchased some of my Alpha Flights from him when I started up that set a few years ago.

He started getting everything graded PGX - thinking it would catch on and be accepted by the masses. NOT!

From appearances, he started getting everything PGXed because he knew based on the amounts of his submissions he could get a bunch of gift grade 9.9s and 10.0s. Hell, he may have even been able to grade them himself . . . :ohnoez:

There is a 12 cent Thor (the one with the giant sword on the cover ) and there is a 1940's giveaway comic (dental industry?) that I know of that are older.

His out is he says it's the oldest "key" comic ever given a 10.0.

I'd argue that Thor number anything is more key than Captain Canuck #1.

Hell, I'd argue that Dazzler #31 is more key than Captain Canuck #1.

...but whatta ya gonna do? :whatev:

And thank goodness he did, or this Gem would have been lost to the world:

Super Pro first issue!
