Parcel Post Limit?

I was creating a listing on (f)ebay for a game I was selling and it told me I couldn't charge more than $4 for parcel post. Now that my item sold, I see that shipping is going to cost me $13 since the box weighs 5-6 pounds!!

 

Anyone else encounter this problem?

What exactly are you shipping? I am assuming you mean video game? If it was a video game system and you listed in the right category you can charge up to $15. Standard games go for $4 shipping max, vintage games can be shipped for $6. The key is to know category to list in...

It was a DJ Hero set that includes the turn table, which is why it's so heavy

Not only that but eBay gets a cut of your shipping charges now, so it's actually costing you $15 out of your pocket to ship it.

 

I hope you sold it for more than $15. I'd hate to think you're giving stuff away.
