Horror Con Double Feature!!!

26 posts in this topic

Boy was it a busy weekend for Signature Series. Not only was there the Boston Comic-Con and Wizard World Anaheim, but also two incredible horror conventions. Both the 2011 Texas Frightmare Weekend and Chiller Theater had spectacular opportunities! Both events went remarkably well and suffered no major cancellations. Kris Moore attended both shows and arranged for several amazing books to get signed.

Here are some pictures from TFW:

Here is Roger Corman signing a Rue Morgue 103.

Here is a photo of Dieter laser the maniac Dr. Hieter from the Human Centipede. Talk about a method actor, he still hasn't taken off his costume from the film.

Next is the Human Centipede's director Tom Six doing a sketch of Dr. Hieter and a picture of the final product. Gotta love the "Feed Her" inscription.

On Sunday, Kris Moore and I had to wait a disturbing amount of hours to get a sketch each from Clive Barker. My wait was around 5 hours, Kris had to wait even longer!!! I asked Mr. Barker to sketch the Bride of Frankenstein. Kris whipped out his magic bag of colored sharpies and Mr. Barker had a field day. This is Clive Barker's vision of the Bride:

Kris got this awesome sketch from Bill Morrison at Chiller Theater. It is a hybrid of Bender (from Futurama) and Wolverine. I guess you could call it Benderine??

Hot diggity daffodil! That's a cool sketch!

Here is my clive barker sketch. I don't know what it is but I love it. I told clive to go crazy and do whatever he was feeling this is what he came up with. I will post pictures from chiller later. I have to go to my other job in a few minutes.

Holy Cow! If I knew that was what Clive was feeling at the moment, I would have went to buy him some Tylenol. Major kudos to Kris for putting together some fabulous opportunities with both of these shows. Also, kudos for whipping out the multi colored sharpies while Clive was working on our sketches!!!
