My first double cover!! posted by bagofleas

What If #28!

I've seen some double and triple cover graded comics before, and while they are definitely interesting, I've always refrained from purchasing any of them.

Why? Two reasons.

1)They are usually overpriced for my taste.

2)The individual covers are graded separately and I've personally NEVER seen them get 9.8 or better on each of the covers.

That is until now!

Reason #2 is the biggest requirement for me to even consider purchasing one of these comics but they also would need to have White Pages.

I've been keeping my eyes out for key What If issues at reasonable prices(translated:I could afford them at the time.) and I've been able to pick up some of them. Then this one showed up and blew me away!

What If #28 with not only double cover status but with BOTH covers achieving 9.8's! White pages on top of the deal and I just couldn't resist!!

This is the first time I've seen one of these like this and it's a comic I was specifically looking for on top of it all! This thing is definitely one of a kind and seriously cool! I have officially made my first double cover purchase and couldn't be more pleased.

I wish the best of luck to everyone else on YOUR searches for YOUR dream comics!

This was another series I loved. The first volume anyway, and being that Daredevil is my favorite solo character this book screamed out t me when I was younger. I only owned one double cover and for the life of me I can't remember exactly what it was and I shudder to think that it was a Rom issue. Very nice book. I will keep an eye out for you now on double covers of this series.

Always appreciated Tnerb! Actually, any of the issues I look for don't have to be multiple covered but it's just another thing that makes them more one-of-a-kind-ish. I love uniqueness in everything I own!!

thanks dude!!

What are the odds on a double cover compared to print run would you guys say? 1 in 10,000, 50,000, 100,000? More?

I must have about 6,000 raws and as far as i know, i've never bought a double cover book.
