Do you think CGC has inconsistencies in their grading?

Here is a question that I am not sure was ever asked.

 

I have been collecting comic books for over 20 years now. Grading was always a great debate with me and to this day still is.

 

I have spoken to many dealers and collectors alike and got mixed responses about CGC graded books.

 

 

What do you think?

Grading will always be a subjective exercise. Raw, CGC, CGG, etc. But there are more positives than negatives, overall IMO, on why CGC is a safer way to go.

You can't expect human beings to be right all the time...

This is why the back of your CGC label says that the grade is only a professional opinion.... Looks are in the eye of the beholder

btw, the second and third options seem to be the same, only worded different. In other words, the third and second options seem to be worded different, yet have the same meaning.

 

I thought that being only human, they will occasionally miss the mark some of the time, but make the correct grading decision the majority of the time.

IMO CGG is tougher on moderns uPVC or not, but id go with CGC on older high end books.
