You're right about HOM #203 being tough in grade - I've never seen a 9.4

 

Sharp copies may be out there, but they are likely buried in the collections of guys who collect stuff other than DC bronze horror. Part of the reason is that it is (to my knowledge) the only horror cover that Russ Heath did for DC. So Atlas horror guys want it, Heath completists want it, DC war guys want it. It's a much tougher issue than the other 25-centers from that period.

 

I wouldn't sniff at an 8.5. If you find a sweet copy and want to ditch this one, please lemme know. I'd be happy to take it off your hands.

 

And thanks for posting all those books. That is a very sharp, disciplined collection.

Since I am somewhat slab-naive, I thought I'd ask what that circular silver label on a couple of your books is for. I can't make it out in the scans, but looks like a sailboat or something. Does it represent a pedigree? PC, perhaps? confused-smiley-013.gif
