my lady actually likes the Witching Hour (maybe b/c she is a witch), allows me to

keep a HoM #174 scan at the front door (daring anyone to enter, haha) , and also horror comic scans for each season or holiday have a place at the front door and can be viewed from outside.

right now there is a scan of Witching Hour #28 (the santa claus cover) along with the HoM #174.

 

to top it off, the outgoing message on our answering machine made by her : you have reached xxxxx and ryan at the house of mystery etc.

 

haha, makes me smile...

I am trying to put up some of my books using my new scanner and I seem to not be having any luck as I keep having to delete posts. Can anyone shoot me some tips on how I get them to show up in the post? Thanks for bearing with me on this until I figure out what i am doing. I apologize to everyone in advance.

Are you trying to attach the image onto the boards? If so, keep it to around 100k or so....resize the image as appropriate. If you just want to show an image you've posted somewhere else, use the image tags.

 

Otherwise, you're going to have to get specific as to the problem.

FYI, to add your pic to your post:

After you type your message click Continue and make sure

I want to preview my post and/or attach a file is still checked. You will then

click Browse and locate your image (on your computer) that you want to post

(no bigger than 200000 bytes) then click Ok, submit.

After you upload your image you will be returned to your posted

message, click on Attachment at the top of your post and copy the link.

Go back to your post and click edit then under Instant UBB Code click

Image and paste your link to your book and hit Ok. At the bottom,

uncheck Mark as Edited?and I want to preview my modifications and add

or edit an attachment. then click Change this post.

Are you saying that I should not show the books I own due to the fact that you can look at them on the web site you put a link to? Correct me if I am wrong.

 

Post some nice High Res scans as I'm pretty sure you have some nice books I like to see at least. Show us last years best purchases.

No I think you should show them all.

 

Just a week or two ago we were discussing giving little reviews of the stories or focusing on other aspects of these books besides HG copies or often seen cool covers. Nothing wrong with that, but it is nothing new. Surely doesn't hurt anyone to post or view scans of nice looking books, and it's certainly nothing to complain about. But it may not hold the interest very long anymore for many of us.
