Score! Another great HoM lot. I can't believe I got this lot so cheap.

Even if the books are just Good it is a good deal. Why don't more people take a chance on something like this? My high bid was a heck of alot more than what I won it for. Also, since the same seller was selling what looked like a cool Charlton lot, I bid on that and won it too, also for cheap. I know nothing of Charltons, but after listening to you guys I just had to try out a lot. Covers look quite nice too.

Anyway, I'm excited to get these lots. I'll take out the ragged books to sell and keep the rest. Might be some good ones, worth a chance anyway.

Remember when I told you guys about this HoM lot above? I took a chance on it hoping that maybe I'd score on some of those lower issues. Didn't quite happen this time. As a matter of fact, I'm dubbing this lot the "Crust Pedigree". Although there were some very nice VF to VF/NM later issues (maybe ten) I'd say that more than half I would grade VC (Very Crusty). Now for the price I paid, keeping the ten or so and selling the rest, I can't say that I got a bad deal, but just didn't really score on this one. I still like to take chances though with these lots as sometimes you really get lucky. So with that said, here is the HoM #174 Crust Pedigree. Don't beat down the doors making any offers on this one.

so, between the two you paid what, $1.50, $1.75 a book? Not bad if you plugged in some holes you were looking to plug with high grades. the 12 and 15 centers were crusty i presume, but how were the 20 and 25 centers?

Some of the charlton stuff is just terrible, but some not so bad. Don't know about your run, but there were some cool covers on some of Charlton's 70s horror/monster comics.
