This was my first hos back in the day, found in a 3 for a dollar box in 1984. This copy is strong and flat, helps you appreciate what cardy could do on a cover

He was really first in weird mystery tales 18, but I think destiny is the bigger one though, and  a Wrightson splash

Ps.... don’t know what it is with 179, but have owned 15 or so, and never an off white white copy, it’s like they printed that one issue on 40 year old paper 

even my first copy, bought in the 80s was crow

Ah good to know thanks. I was a little curious on that. Still very happy with the book overall.

Not a flashy book, but one of my fave 70s horror covers, has a real pre code vibe and tricky to find nice because of all the black
