Heck yeah.

The Man went all out and then some. His hard work and determination was a benefit to all comicbook fans. It just goes to show that the " never give up" mind set will eventually reveal the greatness in a person. Thanks for the picture Rodan.

Not a lot of pics of him from that time....awesome. The most incredible thing just happened for me. I was looking at some Con pics and saw the Bunky Brothers wall books. I noticed what appeared to be a decent Black Rider Rides Again #1 and I PM'd him. I was thinking about deslabbing my CGC 7.5 so I let a friend get my undercopy. I decided to keep it slabbed and found myself without a reader and Bunky Brian's copy was very affordable so I snagged it. I just got it yesterday and was thrilled to find it was autographed by Jack AND Roz. I always thought it was a Stein ink job, but had heard rumors that Roz actually inked it back in those lean days. Maybe she really did. I had always wanted a Kirby autograph but he passed away before I could meet my hero. I am VERY happy. GOD BLESS...

I've always thought this short piece by Greg Theakston was one of the best explanations of the genius of Jack Kirby. (From Amazing Heroes #100)

Great and informative piece. Thanks for posting this. I probably read it when it was originally published, but completely forgot about it. As Theakston ponts out, it's amazing how much is going on sub-consciously as we view this page.

Some correspondence I had with Marvel Staff Writer Dennis O'Neil in 1965-66. The most interesting part, from the standpoint of this thread, is that Jack actually plotted the Fantastic Four stories as he drew them, and that Stan then fleshed out the dialog/-script using Jack's margin notes. King Kirby, for sure!
