The semi-final round nears completion. We began with 460 Neal Adams covers. The boardies have narrowed down the count to 134 covers after the 14 preliminary rounds. The stakes are much higher now, as the cream of the crop from the 5 semi-final rounds will advance to the FINAL round for all the marbles, and prizes for the participants. Eventually we will have a favorite SA/BA Neal Adams vintage cover champion! :acclaim:

This fourth semi-final round features the remaining 27 covers from 1971 in chronological order that made the preliminary cut.

Every cover remaining is a winner. It is up to you to determine which covers are a cut above the rest. More masterpieces here this round, as 1971 was the last prolific year for Adams as a cover artist. Vote count remains at 10.

Pick what you love, not what you think is popular.

Don't be shy with your comments. Let's hear why you made your choices. Influencing others with commentary is encouraged. :gossip:

The polls are still open in these previous semi-final rounds. Please visit these previous rounds and vote if you have not:

Round 3: 1970-1971

Round 2: 1968-1969

Round 1: 1967-1968

Choose your 10 favorites this round.

Neil told me to tell you guys to ensure that you vote for TEC 408, ASW 5, and PS 13.

Don't make Neil angry, you wouldn't like him when he's angry.

Tell Neil his taste is fading with his age as none of those covers received my vote. lol

Who is Neil?

Inside joke. :gossip:

Ok :) Wasn't sure if he was referring to Neil Gaiman, Neil the Horse, or Neil Diamond. :insane:

man - what a close round this one is!

Crazy round. Most books are within 1 or 2 votes of each other, with only the big two Bat books that have moved ahead slightly. A couple votes here or there in this round could provide for some interesting upsets. The next couple of days will determine the destiny for most of these books, as far as moving on to the finals! If you are a silent lurker, get your votes in and make a difference.
