The semi-finals are complete. We began with 460 Neal Adams covers. The boardies have narrowed down the count to 134 covers after the 14 preliminary rounds. The stakes are much higher now, as the cream of the crop from the 5 semi-final rounds will advance to the FINAL round for all the marbles, and prizes for the participants. Eventually we will have a favorite SA/BA Neal Adams vintage cover champion! :acclaim:

This fifth and final semi-final round features the remaining 27 covers from 1972-1979 in chronological order that made the preliminary cut.

Every cover remaining is a winner. It is up to you to determine which covers are a cut above the rest. Some great magazine and treasury covers here. Some classic Batman as well. Vote count remains at 10.

Pick what you love, not what you think is popular.

Don't be shy with your comments. Let's hear why you made your choices. Influencing others with commentary is encouraged. :gossip:

The polls are still open in these previous semi-final rounds. Please visit these previous rounds and vote if you have not:

Round 4: 1971

Round 3: 1970-1971

Round 2: 1968-1969

Round 1: 1967-1968

Choose your 10 favorites this round.

Kind of fitting that this is the final book in the semi-finals, since it seems a forerunner of Neal's latter-day (1980s onward) work. Overly-fussy, too-thick inking, goofy facial expressions. The beginning of the shift away from his classic period, IMHO. :sorry:

Just about every cover in this round is a winner and you really can't go wrong choosing any of them.

In my opinion, the covers in this round are superior to previous rounds, and as such, this was the only round I used all 10 votes.

Not to mention the artwork. Give me a Schomburg GA cover over a Kirby GA cover any day. (thumbs u
