I wouldn't pay that much if Supergirl herself signed that.

I wouldn't pay that much if Supergirl's "services" were included . . . ;)

Yes you would. :makepoint:

Yeah! You should get that piece of the Parthenon with it. In fact, I think a piece of the actual Parthenon would be cheaper.

Am I drunk again, or is this a great thread? :roflmao:

I did not even know counter offering was an option until I had a seller counter offer my offer Wound up getting the book I wanted at a pretty decent price imo

I had one guy make me an offer for something, I countered...and he countered with his original offer. Fair price, foul price, somewhere in between doesn't matter. If you don't want to move off your original price, just decline the counter and be done with it. Countering with your original offer is guaranteed to be declined and maybe land you on my BBL. It's an "FU" to the seller.

I missed a book at auction back in December when my computer logged off at the last second. The book showed up on ebay a few weeks later with a RIDICULOUSLY high BIN price, about 67% higher than he paid.

It sat for about 2 months and then showed up with a "Best offer" option. I made an offer of about 25% more than he paid for the book which would have given him about a $400 profit.

I got the most condescending response you could ever imagine about how hot this book was and he would wait "as long as it takes to get his asking price". If thats the case, why the hell did you list it with a best offer option dunce?!? This seller is one of those annoying eBay sellers that has a ton of nice books listed but literally every single one of them is at least 200% above gpa just waiting for the 1 dummy to come along and get completely raped on a book :censored:

p.s.- 7 months later, the book is still sitting on eBay and i can say with 99.9% certainty that no one has made an offer within $100-150 of what i offered him :eyeroll:

What book is it?

I think the Best Offer option on ebay is useless. Sellers in my experience never come down more than $10 their BIN price.

But I really dislike ebay right now that they are also taking final value fee on your shipping costs. Well priced deals are few and far between now that sellers have to boost their costs to cover all the ebay nickel and diming.

I routinely have sellers accept offers 20 to 30% less than the BIN.

Yup, that's about my sweet spot, too. 25% off the BIN, which should end up on the high side of the GPA average.

You just gotta keep looking..I got a spiderman 12,39, 37, and 23 for $20 when the seller wanted $40, it was a reader lot..Also got a spiderman 7 for $25 a few months ago, would probably grade a 1.5...Also picked up a hulk 181 for $55.00, didnt have the stamp and had ink on cover but o well.

Im just saying some sellers do come down on price and you can find good deals on ebay
