I will probably buy end up getting a copy or two off the rack as Lee's artwork is quite pretty to look at, but I don't think Azz's heart is in it (as it wasn't really in his Batman story arc either) and this project doesn't really excite me...

 

Lee doing Batman was a brilliant, out-of-the-blue, pleasant surprise. Lee doing Superman is a calculated step to help Superman sell more copies - and while there's nothing wrong with that... this is a commercial medium after all, they don't need my $2 for a comic I'm not convinced I want to buy just to flip at a later date.

That's how underwhelmed I was with the Azz Batman arc... It pushed the fact that Jim Lee was doing Superman out of my head. I didn't even think to look for it. I'll buy that as well, although until further notice it will just be for the pretty pictures 27_laughing.gif

Is Action or Flash exciting these days or are you buying these issues because of a Turner cover?

 

I also noticed that Supe Bat 8 has Turner ART - how long is that going to last?

 

Action was part of the Godfall storyline and Turner coverd so I wanteed it. The current Action has that Superman logo but no Turner cover. I haven't cracked my copy open yet, so I can't comment on 'exciting' or not...

 

Turner on Supes Bats is supposed to last a storyarc long - so 6 issues of Turner art?
