I wouldnt buy it at any price, well maybe $30 or so. But in todays frenzied CGC market 250 sound rather sane for a (gasp!!) 10.0!!!

I wonder if there will ever be a demand for "little number" 10.0's?

The "big number" new labels and the Wizard First labels will continually

add 10's to the census... but the number of "little number" 10.0's is fixed...

and possibly even decreasing as "re-holdering" will be performed

(whether it's actually needed or not).

i thought that the wizard first comics would not be added to the census.

They won't, but Steve Borock also said that a Wizard First 10 is equivalent to a Universal 10. Therefore, why not pick up a WF 10 and resubmit to CGC to obtain a Universal 10? And Universal labels are part of the census. BTW, when I started the whole Wizard First post, the 10's were available for purchase on Wizard's website. 18 hours later, there were no 10's to be had. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

They probably took 10 or 20 "just in case" orders...

There's no guarantee that they'll get any 10's in their program,

so I'm sure they'll be first-come, first-served when they get a few.

Agreed, but do you think it was a coincidence that within hours, most likely after Steve Borock announced that a 10's a 10 irrespective of the label, that all the Wizard First 10's sold out?

Actually, I checked their website before Steve said 10 = 10

and they had already stopped taking order for the Wizard First 10s.

In fact, I didn't know they ever actually allowed anyone to order the 10s.

I figured they'd just turn on the order option after they were sure they had some.

Let me put it this way... They don't have any yet.

It was announced that they didn't get any for the Spider-man book.

So far, only 0.5% of Marvel titles from 2003 to present have received CGC 10.0.

That's about 1 in 200.

And you can guarantee a lot of those were pre-screened for 9.8, so it's more

like saying 0.5% of books that are at least 9.8 have been receiving CGC 10.0.

They won't be swimming in 10.0's unless they're flooded with 9.5s.

So the real question is... would anyone pay $49.95 for a Wizard 9.5

when they can use a subscription service and pay $33.95 for a real CGC 9.8?
