O.K. it is time to show off those 2011 SDCC books back from CGC!

44 posts in this topic

Thanks to the fast track option, some my SS'ed comics have started arrive from CGC that I had done at the 2011 SDCC!!! Many of the books will not be for sale, but I will part with. Send me a PM regarding books of interest or wait a couple of days and I will post a link to the selling area where I will have a list of books for sale.

First up are some books signed by Anne Rice! This was one of the most amazing signing opps. at the 2011 SDCC and I doubt if many of these books will turn up for sale. The Servant to the Bones books were a bit of a nightmare. One had to buy a copy in order to have it and another item signed by Ms. Rice. Unfortunately, I would say 80% of the books were severly damaged. I doubt there will be many books above a 9.2 in exsistance. The Interview with a Vampire books are simply marvelous!

As always, Frank Miller was a MAJOR draw. He only singed once and it was a limit of one book per person. Needless to say, his signing was crowded and crazy! Luckily I had my wife and two friends to get these great books! The Batman and Robin is signed by Jim Lee too!

Hey it wouldn't be Comic-Con International without meeting some super hero movie celebs. Getting signatures from them was not easy though. Here are three very cool books:

Captain America #1 (photo variant) signed by Chris Evans

Conan: The Island of No Return 1 signed by Jason Mamoa and Stephen Lang.

Last but not least....Vengence of Bane #1 signed by Tom Hardy, who will be playing Bane in next year's Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises!

Of course there were some sketches:

Overstreet HOF with a Batman sketch by the LEGENDARY Jerry Robinson

Amazing Spider-Man 648 with a great Playboy Bunny (and Spidey fan) sketch by the great Doug Sneyd

Creepy # 4 signed with an UNCLE CREEPY head sketch by Ken Kelly!

Your CAW did one heck of a job.

My CAW lost 20 pounds and probably a couple of years off of his life expectancy. Actually, the books are the result of great team work from several people and witnesses. Kris Moore worked alot of magic at that convention, he is the best!

I have many more books that still have not arrived from CGC. I will be posting more as they come in. There are some truly amazing books I have yet to show off! I also want to encourage others to show off thier 2011 SDCC books!

All of my raffle draws turned up negative at SDCC, and I could never find someone to bribe. :) I did alright, thol my coolest books weren't fast-tracked yet. :) The Tom Hardy is amazing, I think, kudos to Tristan and Mrs. Tristan for pulling that off. :)
