Justice League B too short and not much happening

Week 2

Action B Will stick around but it needs to show me something

Animal Man A+ never read the book before but this reboot is awesome

Batgirl A+ I love Barbara Gordon as Batgirl

Batwing- F wasn't impressed at all, like a bad moon knight comic

Detective B will see what happens but should have been better

Green Arrow C meh

Hawk and Dove F never took it out of the bag, got it to sell to Liefeld maniacs

JLI C pretty boring and weak team. Never a Booster fan

Men At War- B was a decent modern take on Sgt. Rock

OMAC-D would have rather seen the kool aid man running through walls.

Static-F wish i had gotten electrocuted

Swamp Thing A really like this reboot, one of my favs so far

Week 3

Batman and Robin B can't complain, decent book

Batwoman A great book, will be even greater with a lesbian love scene

Deathstroke A I thought it was fantastic, but he's a fav or mine

DemonKnights-A I love the concept and think this book has some legs

Frankenstein- B I think the verdict is out on this one, but I enjoyed it

Green Lantern A+ wow just wow. Sinestro is bad *spoon*, who needs hal

Grifter- B no idea why people are ting on this book, I thought it was entertaining

Legion Lost A Lots of potential but I'm a huge legion fan and my biases come through

Suicide Squad C harley is cool, art isn't

Superboy-F ugh ugh ugh

Well here the verdict so far from CBR on which books are liked the best. I must just be out of the loop because I thought Animal Man was average at best. The art was horrible.

Even funnier I enjoyed Green Arrow.

52 Opinion Poll

I have never read any Animal Man issues before. Based on this poll, I decided to take a gander and...wow! Creepy dream and creepy last page. I'm hooked. I will definitely continue reading this one. (thumbs u

I sold out of superboy 1 before I could read it, but it was one of the most talked about issues from last week... should have a reorder arriving today, so I will have to read sooner than later

Nope, just one variant a week. (Well, if I remember right, technically it's five a month).

I read Wonder Woman #1 today and enjoyed it. The story felt like a big tease to greater things to come, and I'm all for a first issue that just hints at the larger picture. Good stuff, despite it being such a wicked fast read. And that's with really looking at the art, too.

I'm with you on this one Reno..I thought it was a mighty fine book and since we are all about assigning grades here I would give it a B+.

I also read Catwoman and that book just ooozed sex appeal, until the end where it just ooozed sex :headbang: I never gave Catwoman much thought, but what I DO like about here is she is neither a bad guy or a good guy, she's an opportunist and that is a dynamic I which to find out more about in the months ahead. Judd Winick certainly started off stronger here than he did on Batwing. I'm giving this one a B+ as well.

Neither of these books were on my pull list, they will be now.

Maybe I shouldn't have used ooozed and sex in the same sentence

Just read Batman...

Very impressive debut. Loved it and felt like I was in on the ground floor with all the characters. Scott Snyder is fast becoming one of my favorite writers and Capullo was meant to draw Batman. Clean lines yet a dark feel.

Wow this one just moved up to top 3 status of the new 52!

Just finished up Blue Beetle and Red Hood and the Outlaws.

DC is on a roll here. They have had a few stinkers from what I have heard, but most of what I have read has been great.

Kenneth Rocafort has arrived everyone, now that he is at DC he is going to be huge!. The art in Red Hood is indescribable...so I won't even try. This is the funniest book I have read of the new 52 so far. Great Dialogue and the character interaction between all three characters was fantastic. I can tell this is going to be a fun book to read. Definitely an adult book though. A-

Blue Beetle was good as well, I'm a sci-fi loving guy so I was interested in the concept from the get go and the green lantern connection is a welcome touch. What I really like about this book though, unlike so many other of these new 52, is we actually get to see the Blue Beetle's origin in action. We see this normal kid go from having a simple day, becoming the Blue Beetle. Oh and by the way, the Blue Beetle looks like a bad mo fo. The art in this book is fantastic as well, suits the theme very well, it was just overshadowed by reading Red Hood right afterwards. B+

I had both these books on my pull list, but couldn't wait, downloaded the digital version...glad I did.

Read Wonder Woman, Red Hood, and Nightwing so far

Enjoyed Nightwing overall I would say a B nothing detracted and shows promise.

I really enjoyed Red Hood and need to read it again just for Starfire. Id give it a B as well. The art was a little off, but didnt distract from the book overall.

However the art in Wonder Woman is horrendous. It made it very difficult for me to read and I have no desire to buy another issue. All I remember is how bad his Superman run was and promised myself not to buy another issue. I read it and put it back down.

I also read Green Lantern...I just am not into DC or something. None of these books are doing anything to make me want to pick up the 2nd issue.

Action came the closest but so far nothing is making it to issue 2 for me.

I looked at Catwoman but didnt buy it cause I hate the writer...I laughed out loud at the last page.

First Animal Man and now this one? doh!

I know art is subjective, but you have bad taste, man. Or maybe it's just outdated. :jokealert:

Wonder Woman - A-

This book was pretty brutal. As someone mentioned, it felt like a tease, but that's a good thing. I 've heard mention that the book may have a horror tilt and I can see that from this first issue. This one is on the radar for my sub.

Batman A+

Perfect!! Perfect in every way. This is right up there with Animal Man for 1 and 2 of the launch.

Did you even look at the cover?

It didnt get any better on the inside..... :baiting:

I think Brian A's reputation will superhero books will hold up.

Anyone remember Superman?

Psst I didnt like the art in Proof either....
