I had this CGC graded years ago [old label],,Blue,,no restoration,,

I might resub one day but hope to get a few opinions on the grade,,

The biggest defect is the corner crease,,

The interior covers and pages are WHITE,,

I will disclose the CGC grade after a few opinions,,

Need a bigger scan of the front...I'd say based on the spine stress that I can notice, rounded/blunted left corners (upper and bottom) and the dog-ear it's in a 6.5 holder with the eye appeal of an 8.0.

CGC at the time graded this a 5.5 Blue label with white pages,,

I was thinking a 6.5 but that corner crease is a killer,,

I had an atom age book in similar shape with a black cover and color breaking lower right crease maybe a tad smaller, that got a 6.5 Blue (old label). I actually thought it was a bit overgraded at the time ( It looked more like a 5.5, maybe 6.0 to me)

 

With the white pages on your book - I'd consider it a possible 6.0, but CGC might take it .5 higher.

Yeah, it definitely appears higher than a 5.5, and 6.5 seems possible.

At the time I was shocked at the CGC 5.5,,but who cares...

The book has fresh White pages and presents well with great colors!

Before seeing the grade I was thinking 6.5 with another. 5 GA bump. Beautiful book though. I would gladly accept that into my collection.

Yeah, before seeing what CGC graded this as, I thought it was a 5.5 as well. That huge crease on the bottom corner front cover kills it. Plus, plenty of spine creases...

Corner crease is a killer, for sure much higher rating without. I was thinking 5.5/6.0 due to the size of that crease. Looks to hardly break the color though, pressing candidate?
