Slowly....I need to be patient but I'm getting fidgety. There is an upcoming opening in town that is perfect for me at a really good company and I know a couple folks there. The position won't open for a couple weeks though. In the meantime I'm hoping the Temp Agencies (I've registered at 3 of them) can find me something. I've actually had good luck with them in the past - it's how I got my last job which lasted 6 years...

:applause: I'll enroll at U of A for Fall Semester and cheer Dixie's Football Pride - The Crimson Tide! But if they lose to Vandy all bets are off.

 

Beer? Is there beer there? Local comic store? Gulf of Mexico access? I think so. I'm trying to picture it...good fishing in the gulf.....how far to catch a Bucs Game? Titans game?

Bama is aggressively growing its student base...and you can pay a chunk of your tuition if you sell your student tickets...hell I can't afford comics and to go to the games...remember selling my Tennessee ticket for $225 as a student....took the money, went and bought a TV and a twelve pack to watch the game at home lol

 

Tampa is a long way off...nine hours or so, if I remember correctly...Memphis and New Orleans are four to five hours though...hitting Tunica Sunday (little known Casino mecca...#4 behind Vegas, Reno, and Atlantic City. Two LCS in a town of 120,000ish with students. Both are pretty decent for cheap reading, but no GA books in town generally speaking.

 

Plenty of Rivers and Lakes for fishing...large outdoor community in the South generally, with plenty of Superstores to support the hunting/fishing lifestyle :) Gulf and the Beaches are five hours away, and they are fabulous places to go...clear water, white sand...full of the goodness.

 

On the down side...it is Alabama, and the economy was never great to begin with, so it is hurting pretty bad here...state is in proration (i.e. they laid off 25% of the workers in the Department of Mental Health and are closing the only state facility that treats MR folks on an inpatient basis). Also, not to get too into politics but the new immigration law has it feeling like a giant step backward to the late 1950's early 1960's here.

Yeah, they have really made a mess of that new Immigration Law haven't they? I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading about that.

Here’s a few 9.2/9.4/9.6 or better Uncanny X-Men. Plan A was to send all of these to CGC but sadly I don’t have that luxury right now.

Are they super cheap eBay type deals/steals? Not really but my asking price on each is less than the 9.2 or even 9.0 OSPG price.
