Is Batman 238 considered a key?

impossible in HG, just ask greggy

I just refuse to believe this notion on any book past 1959 anymore, especially a bronze Batman book.

I agree with that in principle, but I also think that some books will be on the edge of the bell curve, and this one may be it. Squarebound, black cover, higher price, etc... and with the prices realized for 9.4's, I would think that higher grades would be coming to market by now...

Oops sorry i have confused this with #232 in my previous reply (with nobody correcting me). Nonetheless, the pictured book is one of the most well preserved copy i have ever seen before

looks good to me. You could put a 9.2 or 9.4 in that top left corner and I wouldn't know the difference. back cover flaw?

Not too sure. I haven't seen the back scan. It was from the recent Comiclink auction. Guess I will know in a week or so.

No, I got this one off of CL some time last year. Should have waited though. There was another 9.0 that popped up a couple of months later with a better wrap and white pages. To add insult to injury, it went for $20-30 lower than what I paid for mine.

Ah ok... there has been a 9.0 on Gregs site for a while, I kept thinking about buying it and then holding out for a higher grade etc, then I looked today and noticed its been marked as sold.
