Continuing a recent trend ( Spawn 222, Walking Dead 101 ) of unannounced variants DC changed the original solicit info: (NOTE: For every 25 copies of Aquaman #12 ordered you may order 1 black and white variant edition by Ivan Reis which features the standard cover in a wraparound format)

 

To a Robot Chicken variant.

Seth Green's stop animation show has a cult audience. They will NEED this book.

 

Should be HUGE. Get to your LCS early.

Aquaman is just a good book anyhow, I can see why this variant would be popular as well the variant cover. Alas, I never really buy variants soooo.

Smallville original series seems to have garnered more attention since the last season of the TV show proper. Also, the Season 11 series is selling consistently on the Bay, albeit to not very significant profits as of yet. I believe these are both going to heat up more soon.

The Aquaman Robot Chicken cover was unannounced until AFTER the final order cutoff for retailers. You can't order extra's. NOBODY knew it was happening

It's NOT a 50/50

This does nothing to affect the 1/25's

 

Shops basically get 1 for every 10.

 

My shop is mid size. I'll get 8. As of this second, I have 11 customers that want it.

That number will grow.

COMPLIMENTARY COPIES!

 

In celebration of the Robot Chicken DC Comics Special premiering to Cartoon

Network Adult Swim on September 9, DC Entertainment announces that AQUAMAN

#12 now will feature a Robot Chicken Variant Edition cover, coming to comics

shops at no charge!

 

The AQUAMAN #12 ROBOT CHICKEN VARIANT EDITION on August 29. This new edition

will appear on invoices under item code JUN128163 at no charge, and will have a

cover price of $2.99 US.

 

Retailers will receive this variant in the following quantities:

 

If you ordered between 1 and 9 copies of the standard cover edition of AQUAMAN

#12 (JUN120152) at FOC you will receive 1 complimentary copy of the Robot

Chicken variant cover.

 

If you ordered 10 or more copies of the standard cover of AQUAMAN #12

(JUN120152) at FOC you will receive 1 complimentary copy of the Robot Chicken

variant cover for every 10 copies ordered of the standard cover edition.

 

This offer applies only to copies of AQUAMAN #12 ordered through FOC.
