Any reason why Justice League Dark stuff isn't heating up? It seems that a movie is definite.

 

The perception that the new 52 blows is part of it. I disagree with that assessment. Some of the new 52 is quite good, Justice League Dark being part of that goodness.

Also, I'm not sure it's as definite either as an animated project or a live action project. It won't be a live action project any time before the regular JLA movie for certain. I've heard Del Toro speak about animating it, and as far as I know it's just in the discussion stages. He intends to follow it through unless there's some resistance or red light from WB and DC.

 

It's a good read anyway and worthy of picking up even if it's got very little heat ATM.

That's cool broham, I'm a big softee when it comes to anything related to Justice League......good or not good I'm obligated to purchase. :)

I happen to dig the JLD tho.

Sorry, just to clarify, I love Jeff Lemieres stuff even though I have trouble reading more than half of it - its just that the JLA movie isn't going to be based on the New 52 series. Which is why I said "wrong".

 

Not trying to be a - just that the Justice League Dark movie should, and notice I say should, bring up the value of Alan Moores Swamp Thing run. It won't, but it should.

You're right, it SHOULD....but if you look at the 'bumps' associated with animated projects...they just aren't often that remarkable. A live action television show and/or a movie...yep for the mostpart.....although R.I.P.D. should be doing a bit better IMO.

Thats's what I'm talkin about! Just got that one for less that cover, sending it out to be graded on monday.
