So, I could take my $35 MD investment and turn it into $70 not a month later? I got 1-3 + the Ottley variant #1 for $35, and I need to pay my cell phone bill... I was hoping to hold onto these but I might have to go with a quick flip to double my money.

I just keep thinking "What if this is the next TWD?"

You need to be thinking "what's the next Saga". TWD phenom only comes around so often when the comic gods are aligned.

I wouldn't say rare, just less printed. Plenty to be had.

I agree. I don't collect anything past the first print for my personal collection. Reprints can be made in ever smaller numbers indefinitely. I do understand the appeal to the collector who wants to own everything in a particular run. I think the 1977 Star Wars comics broke me from ever paying cover for a reprint. 2c

Always take the profits, money not working for a bigger profit later, likely still ends up making less then continual climbing.

Also, TWD isnt the TWD ;)lol, but if there was another one, it sure isnt MD.

CBT, just curious, do you read or collect comics?

Very interesting price for the Deadpool Kills the MU set considering:

These issues seem to be fine to very fine although I am NOT a professional grader.

For almost 30 years, own about 7-8,000, hoping to read them all eventually. I almost exclusively buy, only sold for the first time in early 2013 because things got too frothy not too.

I'm generally anti-slab also, because I like to read my comics, but have gotten into them a bit more in the last few years (despite believing 3rd party grading and the comic market as a whole has a serious day reckoning coming).

I got several of those(several of both actually lol ), when the rumors started almost 2 years ago, nice to see it finally picking up steam. I think that one is definitely a wait and sell right before the movie launches.

Wow, honestly, for books like that you are better off not putting a grade in the title because some people don't read the descriptions.

All I can find in stores are the Alpha Flight copies, and a couple of the Big Hero 6 mini. Hoping those catch up.

If you money is that tight I would recommend not speculating in comics at all. You did well this time, but what about next time? Take your money and run especially if you need it.

I always cringe when a buyer tells me this after buying comics from me. "Can I pay you on Friday?"

I think these books will continue to climb I have several I am still holding. Funny thing I can find all of these issues except issue 2 for some reason that issue is pretty tough to find when I look to make the sets.

No, I find the entire series quite frequently on Lyria Exchange under Moderns with the filter "Comics to Watch"

Deadpool kills the entire Universe #1-4 NM @ $26 & 17 bids.

That was in the sellers description and it sold for $70 is what the OP was pointing out.

Thanks. My point is that with NM-/NM runs being available for the same price I was surprised that a mid-grade run went so high. Somebody may be disappointed in the end..........

I've sold a lot of Deadpool minis lately; they were from a collection where the guy bought and read them -- not harshly, but they were not 9.8s or 9.6s.

I put them up on eBay as reasonable BINs, and they sold ridiculously fast. (I sold my DP Kills the MU set for $65.) I really think Deadpool collectors aren't in it so much for the grade; they just want the comics.
