If anyone is at the con this weekend they need to talk to some Image folks for some big news........

 

an elusive teaser, nice way to start a friday

 

I'm on pins and needles...shaped like an office chair. lol

 

kimik knows some news otherwise he wouldn't be able to tell us to ask image about big news.

 

I figured that was the situation but people cut up on here all the time. So what would you guess it relates too ?

i'd take that...i'd be more happy if it were EoW or Southern Bastards

 

If budget and sticking to the story were not a concern, EoW would be my dream. I don't think there is any question that Southern Bastards will get optioned at some point. It feels like a TV show when I read it. It is very atmospheric.

I can see it as an Aeon Flux type animated series.

 

 

Could be, that show always reminded me of the old Heavy Metal movie. Very cool.

GOTG 1 isn't a 1st or close to a 1st for any of those characters (is it a 2nd Groot? I admit I don't know). I guess you could try to argue this is the modern equivalent of Defenders 1, but I don't think it's anything more than temporary movie hype. That GOTG book had its fans, but was and is a near nonentity in the Marvel Universe.

Just to be clear, these look like Groot appearances and not RR. At least the top two are (and according to Marvel's Wiki page the Hulk Annual #5 was a robot Groot and not the real deal).

 

Just to be clear, the other posters joke about AC 5 was referring to the 18th appearance (from the RR discussion) as being the really sought after collectible appearance of a character, and that was what I was commenting on.

Bastards? No doubt that screams TV show.

 

For Saga it would just involve spending a lot on prosthetic makeup and what not, no? Wasn't this what was on half the SyFy channel shows a few years ago when most of their shows were about aliens and what not?

Batman 3 - New 52 has been a consistent seller for maybe a year+ now. I stumbled into a bunch of copies of these and they sold briskly at $15 or so a pop. I wonder if something has been selling for a consistent premium like that long enough whether it is primed to go to the next level.
