Preference? Higher grade lower page quality or lower grade higher page quality?

I'd prefer whichever presented better.

 

Which one is centered better?

 

Brittle might affect my decision, but if the PQ didn't have brittle, I'd take the better looking book. I don't hold CGC PQ in very high regard.

 

I've bought books of lesser PQ that were better centered over their lesser PQ counterparts.

 

Ever since I re-subbed a "LT to OW" book that came back as "OW", I haven't put much weight into the CGC PQ designation.

I am actually glad this thread came back. Is it stupid to upgrade books that are of the same grade solely for page quality? I am talking about going from off-white pages to white pages, nothing beyond that? Or is that too minuscule to even bother doing?
