Great article! I've been to the OMSI and seen the Gemini replica, but didn't realize it was a prize until now.

 

This Vox Guitar was part of 1st prize. Not too bad!

Just the publicity. But he also got the Vox Guitar and every Revell model kit made at the time.

 

The 1966 US Vox price list indicated that the retail price of the Serenader was $54.90 USD with a "violin type case." Converting this to 2011 dollars, the Serenader would retail for about $375 USD.
