I spent about an hour last night looking up how much a tear will take the grade down. I'm still pretty foggy with that particular defect but I am going to agree with DiceX and go 7.5.

Put me structurally with the 7.0's, but I think the tanning to the BC knocks it down a notch to 6.5.

I'm on the bubble 6.5/7.0...I'm thinking positively so gonna give it the 7.0 nod...nice book!

 

Love this cover...my #8 is extremely bright and would probably go easy 7.0/7.5 except has some fairly serious Marvel chipping right edge...

Thanks for all the opinions. This book was one of six books that I submitted to PGX, and that was before I found these boards. First and last mistake. This will be the second one I cracked to get graded by CGC. It's all ready boxed up with five other books ( three are pre-hero marvels) and will be on its way tommarrow. The remaining ones will eventually be sent too. I'll be curious what this one comes back as. PGX grade was 7.0.
