When does the noob wear off?

How long is the step from noob to geek?

TuPenny? Is there a thread about the gestation time of the average newbie growth cycle?

I believe it coincides with how much money they spend on here :rulez:

Really ? How much has to be spent ?

$700. The Caltopia awaits!

I wouldn't go that far. But as long as you've completed several quality transactions here, you can be the biggest tool in the shed and you'll have at least a few people talking about what a stand up guy you are ;)

Worked for me.

Look how many people stand up for me, and I'm Board Cancer!

don't hit me sal...

:shy:

The $3400+ I've spent here since May is probably what makes my suckiness tolerable. (shrug)

Absolutely (thumbs u

Yup doh!

It's true what they say about first impressions, and mine wasn't the best example. I don't think I spent one minute lurking before I joined and started posting, and I was a bit too enthusiastic. :sorry:

The world of comic collecting is so much larger than I thought, and through these forums I'm learning better ways to collect. It's because of the boards that I learned Mike Royer lives in the same town I do. Now I'm getting to know this terrific guy and discovering a wider range of comics than just MARVEL and DC.

Though the damage has been done and bridges burned before they were built, I'm very greatful that these message boards exsist :applause:

You already have two strikes in little over a year. I imagine quite a bit more than the average n00b.

I'm about to drop 5k on a book in the Sales thread. Enough to redeem myself ? BTW, it'll be my first purchase :whee:

It depends who you're buying from. If it's another newb it won't do much good. If it's an established forum superstar, it could give you major street cred.

Posting pictures of your wife helps too.
