New planet found. We "may" all be supermen there.

"According to scientists, the new planet that has been named Kepler-22 is similar to earth in many ways. It has a climate that has everything to sustain life, like our Earth does and has ideal temperature for allowing the human life to prosper. Though the sort of surface, the planet has, is not yet known, nonetheless the excitement is high among space experts across the world."

 

The TV reports I heard, stated that this planet (600 light years away from us, thus you and I will never visit it), has a constant 72 degree temperature and has a "red sun".

 

They stated that scientists are unsure of what the surface is like. Rock, water or gas. But that they "suspect" it is mostly water.

 

"They" say that a red sun is actually a better deal than we have, as they last longer. :They" also say that this newly discovered planet may be the best shot at a place that has life on it already. Than we have previously known of.

 

Funny that the given name starts with a "K". (I'm just sayin') :)

 

Interesting stuff. It is a shame that you and I won't be around when "they" find out what is what. :(

Nope. Gravitational pull depends on the distance (squared) from the center of gravity, so if it's four times bigger (four times the radius) then it can be sixteen times the mass and we would feel one G on the surface.
