Low grade AF 15 Missing staple

I know there is a thread on high grade books with qualified defects, but if the book is already a 1.5, does it usually get a green label for a missing staple (with lots of scotch tape replacing it)? If not, how much does it hurt the grade (if at all)? Thanks!

If it is 1.5, it will not get a green label for a missing staple.

Yes, I don't think it will get a green label either at that grade. The only time you might get a green label at that grade will be if it's incomplete, as in it's missing an interior page(s).

Should be good unless you tried replacing the missing staple with a non matching one.

Replacing staples on low grade books still won't get the green "Qualified" label. However, they will get put in the notes section, "Staple replaced".

Since it's so low grade I'd just replace the staple and be ok withwhatever note they left in the label.

An AF #15 1.5 is screaming for restoration to bring it back to its former glory, then they can replace the staple at the same time and you have a beauty looking FN/VF to show off to your friends. There are not many better resto candidates out there right now than this book! Blue label 1.5 is cool too, whatever makes you happy.
