Just added Karl Moline and Derec Donovan to the list!

 

Karl Moline is best known as the artist and co-creator (with Joss Whedon) of Fray and other work he's done in comics for Buffy the Vampire Slayer. His list of credits also includes artwork for B.P.R.D., Rogue, Dark Horse Presents, Daredevil, 2099: World of Tomorrow, Edge, Forge, The Loners, Nation X, R.E.B.E.L.S. Route 666, Scion, Spider-Man Unlimited, Vampirella, X-Factor, Avengelyne and X-Men: Origins

Neal Adams is one of the greatest comic book artists of all time! He helped revolutionize Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and Green Arrow for DC Comics. He helped revolutionize The Avengers and The X-Men for Marvel Comics. He redefined comic book art in the Silver Age and continues to be a huge influence in the industry as an artist, graphic designer and creator rights advocate. Not really... there are a bunch that we're waiting on solid yes answers from... i.e. they have the invite, and told us they'd get to us. I don't want to drop any clues, since nothing is set in stone yet... but I do know that Par2ch has been gossiping with one of our current guests about someone big, that made him yell at me for not telling him it was even a possibility.

 

There are a few names out there that i'm also gonna try and beg when I see them at some other shows in the next few months.

 

That being said, if you have any ideas on who you'd like me to try and get, lemme know. Chances are we've tried to get them, but it doesn't hurt to ask again. My one loose rule of thumb is that I tend to avoid guests that have appeared at other cons in the state in the same year, unless there's a good reason to bring them back.

If you really want the best suggestion for this moment in time...

 

The Adventure Time crew...they are all appearing at Emerald City CC...

With the anime / younger crowd Supercon brings in this would be HUGE!

 

Make an Adventure Time variant and it would be like printing money.

 

Also, for the Walking Dead fans...Tony Moore or Robert Kirkman...

You're joking, right? Neal Adams and Carmine Infantino are 2 of the biggest living legends in the industry and haven't been to Florida in years (decades?) . Olivier is the artist of Marvel's biggest book of the summer and is doing only 2 shows in the country this year. Rags Morales is the artist of the 2nd biggest selling book DC has on the shelves and hasn't been to Florida in years. Epting is one of Marvel's top artists. Howard Chaykin, Kevin Maguire, Brad Walker, Roy Thomas, Bill Sienkiewicz are all solid names... A lot of other "names" on the list too.

 

Not good enough for you... go to San Diego or New York... maybe they'll have enough "names" for you... I'm pretty damn proud of the line up we have this year... and i'd put our list of comic guests up against any other show in the state. The bigger the show gets, the bigger the line up.... and no matter what, i'm sure i'll still have people who think its not enough. We're doing our best... Not good enough for you, don't come... that's all I can say at this point.

I think it is an amazing line-up. I can't wait to have books signed by Allen Bellman, Roy Thomas and now George Perez! :headbang: As far as I am aware, Roy's only scheduled appearance is at the Florida SuperCon.

 

I just attended WonderCon here in Cali (one of the biggest shows in the country) and in my opinion this line-up of artists/writers is blowing what they had away (no disrespect to the amazing talent at W.C.). (thumbs u

 

Congrats on landing so many legends of the industry. Now just add Stan Goldberg and I can cross everyone of my wishlist. :baiting:
