You could leave a neg for non-disclosure, but the seller would say that it was obviously a PLOD. Plus he'll neg you back, no doubt.

This is not a neg-worthy auction. The book was clearly a PLOD.

Two weeks ago, I didn't even know what restored was ( 27_laughing.gif ) and it didnt say restored in the auction. I barely figured out what PLOD meant like 5 days ago...and now I have one!!!

 

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

geez - this had me confused as hell............coming from one who probably shouldn't be lecturing anyone on restored books (me), with 430 posts in about 5 weeks, i would have expected that you'd have recognized the Purple label. but, as redhook said, a valuable lesson (which will never be forgotten) for under $30, isn't a bad thing.

 

and i like the idea of giving it to Asia devil.gif

 

Guys, guys, guys . . . think outside the box now. Don't you mean TRADE it to Asia, for (ahem) something of value? devil.gif

Heh...it took me awhile to figure that one out!!! lol!!!

I say that only because I got a surprise restored book in my first batch---and I will surely find others as I certify the remaining books...893scratchchin-thumb.gif

 

I wouldn't take that bet even if you gave me 100-1 odds, unless Steve could confirm that every book had been bought directly off the newsstand (and his Dad didn't get a little restless with the marker at some point). I also had a few unpleasant surprises in some of my first submissions (and my most recent submission, but I notified the dealer I had purchased it from a couple of years ago and he's made good).

Get a real table! (or a wrist rest)

 

That viewing angle and the reflection/glare from the halogen light can't be good either...
