I wonder if Ian continued buying modern DC'S?

 

One of the last times he posted here I vaguely remember him saying he was buying moderns but not all the assorted variants.

 

Anybody else remember that?

Yes totally, and the variant covers and ultimate editions are crippling. It's now costing £1000 a month ($1650) just to keep up. It's a thankless task.

 

At least they started Adventure Comics with 504 as well as number 1.

 

But I think he eventually pulled back on the variants later.
