Hulk 181 vs. ASM 2 & 3?

It's not always going to be about money.

I might just depend on if someone is a Spidey fan or a Wolverine fan.

(shrug)

Then why not just say hulk 181 vs ASM 2 and 3...

When CGC and the grades given money comes in to focus, right?

(shrug)

Because some people would rather own a high grade book than a low grade book if they have the choice.

With the chances of 9.8 hulk 181s showing up it will drive the price of 9.8s down.. It's understandable you want your personal grail but who wants to pay 13k for it to decrease? You're safer with the lower grades holding their value when it comes to bronze age. That's my opinion, I could always be wrong.

There are people who buy comics that don't look to values (rising or falling) to make a decision.

They simply buy what they like.

They do exist.

By the way, I thought I was posting in the AF #15 / Hulk #181 thread.

:applause:

I had a guy walk up to my booth at Fan Expo in Toronto last year. He was from Buffalo.

He asked how much the Hulk #181 was (it was a graded 9.4), paid full sticker (I think I had it at about $2950 and (FMV was about $2700 or $2800) and left.

Told me he's wanted one since he was a kid and now was thrilled to have one. It's the only comic he owns as far as I know.

Some people just buy what they like.
