Let's just say...no problems on back cover and pages are white.

Is that color touch in the upper left by the logo?

I would assume not as it is already graded and not detected. Looks more like a "smudge".

I'd guess 9.0. Maybe even 9.2. Looks nice to me.

I'd say 9.2 because of the upper left corner, bottom edge and the very light stress marks on the lower spine around the staple.

What do you guys think about the bottom left (if you download the picture and enlarge, you can see it much better) and the discoloration along the top of the spine?

Is it water damage or just discoloration. If it's water I might lower my grade. If it's discoloration I've taken it into account.

My son who also loves comics guesses 9.0 to 9.4.

It actually seems like the staining from the spine area. Let me say this is not my book and not in my hands. I am trying to get a "feel" for CGC's grading and was amazed by the grade it got, though to more "seasoned" professionals it may not be surprising at all.
