let's start a list of the absolute must have key books of the silver age - I'll start, everyone just pile on!! Maybe just copy and paste so we build out one list?

 

Then, once all the books have been suggested, the final list is shown for all to see and we vote?

I would add FF #5 for Doom. I would also add Avengers #4 for Cap. I have TTA 44 on my list but that is only because I like the way it looks next to the 27. Its not really a huge key.

yeah, the list grows a bit unwieldy if you include the 1st villian appearances!

 

I agree though Doom is Doom and should be included he is by far the most badass villian Marvel has.

FF 48, and 49 need to be on the list.

Hulk 2, DD7 and TOS 48 the 1st Hulk , DD and Iron man as we know them today(more or less).

ST 110 doesnt get enough credit.

No love for F.F. #52?

While there are TONS of hugely collectable D.C.s, I've made the hard cuts, omitting even my beloved Showcase 6, and boiled my D.C. list to 5.

B&B 28

Adv. 247

Flash 105

Showcase 22

 

These are the must-haves for the Marvel-First crowd who want the biggies. Showcase 4 is just plain a must-have.
