Fully agree. Wonder why that is? I'm guessing because most of the guys that bought them were either Boardies or serious collectors and they took serious care of them and subbed right away? Was there on-site grading at C2E2? I forget. hm

It is crazy how many 9.9s there are for tht book. I wonder what the ratio of 9.9 to 9.8 for that book compares to others? I don't know if every 9.9 has been/or is for sale on ebay, but it feels that way.

 

Btw I bought a 9.9 cgc ss yesterday from ebay.

Image was removed from my signature because I have another image planned for it.

Cover to #1 was sold shortly before I got the graphite version.

It is not on CAF so I have been unsuccessful in locating it thus far.

(I have tried and will continue to try.)

Dunno quite whats happening with this book on the secondary market either.

Its still got most of its good points going for it, and as a previous noted, its readership is growing - but:

I was hitting these out for $135 3 months ago ago (blue 9.8 #1), and the 1:10 variant, I sold a couple on here for $150ea.

Now according to GPA, the last sale was only $47 and a blue 9.8 #1 hasn't broken $100 since April 9th.

Indeed since then only 3 recorded sales have reached $80 with most selling in the $50 - $60 range.

I know its Con season but we are on what, issue #10?

Why the mass drop?

The virus variant is actually selling for the same price, when its usually a lot,lot lower by now.

Any thoughts?

Its making me sad. I can get an SS #9 conference issue for 100.00 on flee..Thats a good 200+ book at least. There aren't a lot of variants, just the phantom set. The storyline is solid, the artwork is top notch. Is it not sexy or violent enough for people?
