Classics Inc On-Site Pressing at Wizard World Chicago in two weeks!

Classics Inc will be offering on-site pressing at the Wizard World Chicago show in two weeks, August 8st through the 12th. With CGC’s on-site grading at that show, collectors can get their comics pressed and graded in the same weekend. We first offered this service at last year's Wizard Chicago show with great success. This is the last show of the year we will be offering on-site pressing, so make sure to take advantage of this rare opportunity.

We will bring our full operation to the show, allowing us to press any comic you submit, regardless of age or condition. Space is limited, so make sure to submit your books to us as soon as possible.

SUBMITTING:

We begin accepting pressing submissions Wednesday afternoon at approximately 12pm at booth #521, next to CGC's booth. Most pressings will be finished and submitted to CGC by the end of the day following your submission. For example, the books you submit to us on Wednesday will finish and be submitted to CGC end of Thursday. Comics submitted to us by Saturday at 11am stand the best chance of getting graded by CGC at the show. We will also be accepting submissions for regular pressing throughout the weekend. Any submissions that CGC is unable to grade by Sunday will be graded immediately the following week at their office.

All pressing invoices must be fully paid before we submit your books to CGC. Any grading fees will be billed to you separately by CGC, and they will require payment when you pick your books up from their booth.

SCREENING:

Matt Nelson will be screening comics for on-site pressing at booth #521 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, between the hours of 12pm - 2pm. Books that are submitted at the booth any other time will be screened in the pressing room, and the results emailed to you. Pre-screens will enter the queue immediately after they are evaluated. Proscreens must be approved by you before we start pressing, so it’s important you give us your approval as soon as you receive it. Any rejects can be picked up at the Classics Incorporated booth.

NOT ATTENDING?

No problem! If you can't make it to Chicago, but have comics you'd like to press and grade at the show, please mail them to our office between now and Monday, August 3rd. Simply fill out a work order through our website and choose "on-site" for the service. We will bill you for both on-site pressing and CGC fees, and bring your graded books back to Dallas after the show. Your books will be mailed to you from our office the week after.

Fees (based on estimated value after pressing):

Modern = $20

'65-'74 = $40

Vintage (pre-1965) = $60

Hi Value $500-$1000 = $80

Hi Value $1000-$4000 = $120

Hi Value $4000-$10,000 = $200

Hi Value $10,000-$20,000 = $400

Value over $20,000 = 2.0% of estimated value, based on results

Magazines = $40

So you're not going to use the term ..

conflict of interest

?

Just asking.

I don't know that's it's a conflict of interest per se. I know on other forums, sponsored posts are usually clearly delineated as such.

Yes they do, yes. Just like the the boards now redundantly have a liberal redundancy policy now. Yes.

We're only one week away from on-site pressing and grading in Chicago! For those of you who can't make the show but have books to submit, we have extended the deadline to Monday, August 6th. We must have the books at our office by that day in order to bring them to Chicago.

See you guys next week!

Matt
