How to tell 1st print of chew and walking dead?

Thanks for the help guys. I was stoked to find a whole heap of early walking dead and chew back issues all first printing at my LCS.... for cover price!!!

Or even more likely, they were mistaking the 2nd print for the 1st print variant. Black vs. white text on cover for Walking Dead #1.

Nothing as good as a number one. Walking dead I got about a dozen issues starting at 30, no keys like 61 though but I did get a key death issue. Chew I got multiple copies of 3-7 and the pulp fiction tribute cover. I was told that up until a few weeks ago they had nearly all the issue up to number ten in walking dead but had been cleaned out.

they had about 40+ issues all of number 34, does anyone think they are worth getting?

They usually do discount so if I bought the whole lot i might get 20% of cover.
