E good reading material. To stop suggestions that I have already read I will provide a list of what I have done already:

I really like batman and darker more adult story lines. All time favourite would be preacher so I was thinking about crossed. Even though I read walking dead up to issue 96 I didn't really enjoy it but I love zombie stuff. I started chew the other day but hate the art.

Based on what you said, the 1st recommendation is another Garth Ennis book, The Boys.

As for Crossed... I liked the 1st series a lot. The 2nd one "Family Matters" was ok. Just skip the 3rd "Pyschopath" completely, it was bad. And not in a so bad it's good way, it was just terrible. The 4th one "Badlands" has been good so far.
