wizardseye311
Those inserts are meaningless to me. You know what I want. Bring on those Vol. 1 7,,8, 11, and 13 9.8's. That is my one and only single minded pursuit. Shanna too, but don't tell anyone.
gyro-1
reader copy of 35 cent regional price variant http://cuttingedgecollectibles.com/Comics/Red%20Sonja.html At $4 its cheep enough to hope they undergraded it ? Ok Ok I know what your saying +++ Those canadians are nuts ++++ Well true but look this one from ebay ? $75 more ? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Red-Sonja-1977-1st-Marvel-Series-35-Cent-Variant-5-VG-3-5-/310537038804?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item484d732bd4&BackToListReferer=http%3A%2F%2Fmy.ebay.ca%2Fws%2FeBayISAPI.dll%3FMyEbayBeta Merry Xmas Edited December 15, 2012 by gyro-
wizardseye311
Those price variants from My Comic Shop are consignment items. Meaning they're selling them for someone else. You can save $5.00 by going directly to their website, but still way over priced. If you're interested they have 5 Mark Jeweler copies much cheaper here: https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=566201 Not high grade, but if that's what you're looking for, they got 'em. As for the first listing, I don't know. All the others are graded VF/NM. So I'm sure they can tell the difference between that and a VG copy. . I just grabbed a Dynamite Red Sonja #4E Glow In The Dark cover. Now I can die a happy man.

wizardseye311
The RRP #7 is much nicer, and you can find practically mint raw copies of those anytime. There's one on eBay now for $56.00, but I've seen them much cheaper. Just keep an eye out for one. They come around quite often for around $25.00. Foil lettering, and sketch background. The regular ones are a dime a dozen. All my RRP and foil covers came from eBay, and all are mint except one (bummer). Modern books should be since they're not that old, and the paper quality is top notch. You just have to ask the seller the right questions before buying. Make sure they know what you're looking for. I was eyeballing that Dave Stevens Sheena 3-D, but auction ended while I was out.

ft88
Was reading an old Savage Sword of Conan 23 and it had an article about Sonja Show in Delaware from 1977. There were multiple Wendy Pini pics references and an ode to Red Sonja poem. I'm assuming she was already involved in comics and potentially trying to get into the Marvel crew. I liked the elfen features in her 1976 Sonja pinup.

wizardseye311
Very cool! I'm friends with Wendy on Facebook, and she doesn't much like to talk about those days, but she did post an old video from the '78 SDCC with she and Frank Thorne doing their old routine. You can watch it here.

wizardseye311
Like I said, she doesn't talk about her Red Sonja days much. When people post a pic of her as Red Sonja she never responds. She's all about Elfquest now. BTW Gyro, Happy Boxing Day!
