If they ever make zombie porn, you'll see WD hit 4K.

Jenna Jameson made a movie called Zombie Strippers.

That's probably what caused the start of the spike.

She's started a lot of spikes over the years.... :boo:

To retaliate, what about DC's "Faster Friends?" Another comic shown on LOST. I was selling sets of those two for $25-$35 at the height of the show. Where are they now?

Just for comparison.

;)

Excellent point. I offer this as a response. Mystery Tales 40 seems to share more of the show's premise than Faster Friends. Mystery Tales features the Hidden Land and the guy is on an airplane. The Spanish version of Faster Friends was just a book that Hurley read. Mystery Tales had more of a mystique about it once Richard presented it to John Locke as a child hinting that the comic book itself had a connection to John's role on the island.

Yes, I want my Mystery Tales 40.

:applause:

I wish more exchanges could be this civil.

Well done, sir!

-slym (never saw LOST past Season 3)

I stopped watching mid way through season three. It was a horrible show, so many unresolved issues in order to promote intrigue and mystery. Anyone can just insert random strange spoon into a story and then explain it to give an impression of mystery that is bad/lazy writing. Good writers promote mystery by selectively editing a -script and having the mysteries as logical but not predictable result of the plot.

While some things were admittedly not resolved with clarity I felt that the majority of things were. There were some things that I did not need to explicitly know as they were unimportant to the plot. I have watched the entire series it a few times and it gets better with each viewing.

I second that. The show is brilliant! Character development is insane, I think more so than the comic, its like a modern day X-men!

Too many unresolved issues? you mean the part that the show is called "walking Dead" made sense to you to begin with? .. Come on, it's still fiction, only better than 99% of the cr*p on TV, WAY better!

I was talking about Lost. Walking dead character development is so so. If you want "insane" character development watch something written by Terrence Winter like Sopranos or Boardwalk Empire.

Status on this book has been earned through it's development of different forms of media that has multiplied it's fan base. It is light years past hype/fad. Owning a copy of #1 in cgc 9.8 is wise cause the book is blue chip. Replacing one for less after selling one is for the highly skilled or the lucky.

I don't agree with this. But junk draw is a highly reputable source in my opinion so I will give it some further thought.

Boardwalk Empire is the only reason outside of the Yankees (and Walking Dead) that I turn the TV on.

Sunday Nights are usually Boardwalk Empire nights and I catch Walking Dead on the repeat.

with TSG getting shot down by NBC today, how will this impact TWD Bubble?

Ahhhh so that's why all those sets of Sixth Gun are popping up. doh!

I don't think it impacts WD at all. Most of these other books got their spikes from people thinking they'd be "The next". WD is still that gold standard. It made it all the way through the hell it takes to just get on the screen and surpassed that bar with great episodes and actual success.

If anything Sixth Gun getting shot down might temper the enthusiasm for every other series that's running wild because people here the word's "option" or "treatment".

Sixth Gun made it farther than 99% of optioned properties and it's still no where near being a TV hit.

Rachel Rising is still a pretty good bet, IMO, since it's the first property acquired by ATG and it probably wouldn't cost that much to make. NBC must have hundreds of pilots and reality TV rubbish to consider. Fingers crossed, anyway. I'd love too see Rachel Rising on the small screen.

What has (possibly) happened with The Sixth Gun is another reason why The Walking Dead #1 is here to stay for a while. TSG #1 became an $800 book in 9.8 basically overnight. TWD #1 did the hard yards and is going to ride the ups and downs much better because of it.

No affect at all, It will actually help. Maybe now we will see Rachel Rising Prices drop as well......

How exactly will it help WD prices?

Related question, will it impact soybean prices as well?

TWD is more directly tied to cattle futures than soybeans

I think you will find it is correlation not causation.

But if you see a dip in soy futures that may be the begining of the WD sell off.
