Why doesn't someone with GPA track the moving average price for the WD. Based on a lot of peoples post, should still eb showing the exponential growth.

The good news is that over the last 9 years TWD 1 in 9.8 has averaged 48% growth per year! :applause: The great news is that this means in less than 16 more years this becomes a million dollar book at that rate. :acclaim: The bad news is that this is actually a sign of a bubble, not real growth. :boo:

Wait, are you saying all exponential growths are non-sustainable? :o

I would say the above GPA sales would suggest that armageddon is not quite here yet.

If the owner of GPA wishes this to be removed - please pm me and I will do so immediately.

They also got in 2-8 and an Argentinian 10

I love the show and find the comic good but for the price of the early issues I would much rather buy a nice SA-BA key first app comic. I don't see the bubble bursting anytime soon especially concerning the early issues. Cult following with more jumping onboard each day. With the first 20 or so issues being so limited they will always be popular.

I bought WD 1 back in 2003. I got it graded a few months back and it turned out to be a 9.8. I was a bit hesitant on what to do with it. Should I keep it? Should I sell it? I spoke to a couple different hardcore investors, and they both suggested that I dump the book and put the money in silver books that have stood the test of time. Why did both of them suggest this to me? Their reasoning was that no one is really going to care about WD 10 years from now. I think that's accurate, and the whole zombie boom will die off long before that. Of course there will still be those die hard WD fans, but I don't think that alone will be enough to reserve the value of this book. I also think that the value has already hit it's max potential.

Short term, I think the time to sell this year has passed. You might see a jump around SDCC, but the big time to sell will be around the buzz of the show.

Take it from me: I've sold the book twice now, and both times, I've bought a new one within three months of selling. It's a great book to own, and based on what I paid for mine, I won't be selling. The second you sell it though, you'll probably want another!

It's all about diversification. I have my money in mostly SA books and WD moderns. If I take a hit on the WD books...ok. I still have a lot of SA books too.

Again, I don't see WD 1-6 going down by much and they will always have a following...even in 10 years.

+1

Sell it, then put $450 into an interest bearing account. In 10 years when you've made $50 in interest buy the book back for $500 after the price comes down.
