Description: Pieces missing out of the front and back cover. Cover his vibrant color inks that present like that of a higher graded copy.

 

*Origin and 1st appearance of Hugo Strange.

*1st time Batman wears his trademark "finned gloves".

*4th appearance of Commissioner James Gordon.

*6th cover appearance of Batman.

*1 of only 20 unrestored copies on the CGC census.

 

The less desirable and more common Detective Comics #37 has sold for $1,700+ in CGC 1.0 back in 2010.

 

A Detective Comics #36 in CGC 4.5 recently sold for $10,000.
