Say what you will about Arnold - but you just can't replicate what he did on-screen in the 80s. Conan and Total Recall were mistakes, and I'm sure they've got a couple more Arnie remakes in the tube.

 

I have always tried to give Colin Farrell a fair shake in his films I've seen - but he's just not very good at acting.

 

Anyone trying to remake an Arnold movie is probably going to fail. Only Arnold, with all the cheese and schlock, can do Arnold and any movie that Arnold was in, was primarily successful because it was Arnold that made the movie successful.

Colin Farrell instead of Arnold?!?

 

That dude is box office poison! every single movie he's in is more horrible than the last. it's amazing anyone will hire him for even a bit part much less as a leading man!

 

Farrell's best role of the last five years was that of a reluctant hitman in the movie In Bruges. Certainly worth a watch if your tastes include (very) dark comedies.

 

That movie was brilliant.

 

Certainly laugh out loud in many spots.

I just looked at his IMDb page out of curiosity. Not counting the movie Jive said that i've never heard of, im struggling MIGHTILY to find a single even decent movie that Colin farrell has appeared in. Why is this guy a movie star?!?

This might be wishful thinking, but wasn't he good in Alexander? I don't remember it being a good movie, but I feel like he might have done a decent job. And wasn't the Recruit half way decent? Its been a long time since I saw either so I might be mistaken.
