Windex Scarcity Index?

28 posts in this topic

With Adventure 247 with a rating of 4 and would most of the late 50's and early 60's DC should be around that range? I'm guessing the early 60's Marvel will have a rating of 1.

The formula breaks down if the book isn't expensive enough (I peg $75 in Good as the minimum price), otherwise people don't bother to get their mid-grade issues slabbed when they sell them, so I never got a representative sample of post-code books. That said, I think pretty much any superhero DC from 1958 or later would score between 0 and 5.

Looks like a pretty common book through the mid-1940's, becoming more scarce in the latter 1/3rd of its run. I don't collect this issue so I'm not sure how that stacks up against people's general knowledge of the title.

No, you are being far too optimistic!

Since the index was really design for pre-code books and earlier, your standard SA Marvel book would probably be coming in at a very generous +0.01. lol

Thanks for clarifying your data.

Yeah...and those Marvel SA books are plentiful, but mind you are in high demand and being hoarded. lol
